Day 2: Good start – dramatic turn

Breakfast at the hotel was great! Barry and Marc started early from Marines heading towards Neuf-Marché.

Unfortunately, shortly after the 1st Check Point Marc literally run into problems with his calve. Abbey came for help but couldn’t do much but cooling and giving some pain killers. Eventually, Marc had to give up 🙁

Luckily, Aaron and Kirsten brought their bikes. Kirsten was on her bike in no time and is accompanying Barry now on the 2nd half of Day 2.

Too bad Marc – a valiant effort but I guess these things happen.
On a separate note (and without wishing to offend anyone) does this picture put anyone else in mind of David Blunkett and his guide dog?

I hear ya Cam. Though Blunkett’s dog never humped your leg as much. Barry learned everything he knows from Chippie! Ruff.
